Mrs. Bunmi Mercy Omotola is the Administrative Secretary of State Information Technology Agency (SITA). She hails from Oka in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
She attended African Church Grammar School in Oka Akoko and later proceeded to Ondo State College of Education, Ikere Ekiti. In her quest for knowledge, she proceeded for her degree programme where she bagged the Bachelor of Science Education at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State and her Master degree in Public Administration at Ado Ekiti University respectively to consolidate on her chosen career as an Administrator. She is both an associate and professional member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and Institute of Public Administrators of Nigeria (IPAN).
She has worked in various Ministries, Departments and Agencies with longer years of service and experience in the Ministry of Finance.
She has served in various Ad-Hoc committees among which are:
Committee on the sharing of Assets of defunct MDAs,
Committee on Salary negotiation,
Committee on Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) etc.
Mrs. Omotola was recently appointed the Focal Officer for Public Finance Management Legislation (PFML) a sub-component of the just concluded World Bank Assisted Project i.e. Public Sector Governance Reform and Development Project (PSGRDP). Our efforts on this Project are already yielding positive results in terms of new Financial Laws viz:
Fiscal Responsibility Law (FRL),
Public Finance Management Law (PFML), and
2017 Financial Regulations and Stores (FR&S).
Also, she is a member of Project Management Team (PMT) for SIFMIS.
Mrs. Omotola’s hobbies include but not limited to, reading and listening to music. She is happily married with children.
