The State Information Technology Agency (SITA) has commenced collection of bio data of core civil servants in the services of Ondo state.
The bio data is to enable the Agency produce a uniform identity card for all categories of civil servants in the state.
Declaring the exercise open, SSA to the Gov on ICT, Hon Olumbe Akinkugbe said the digitized ID card is to assist the state have a holistic credible data base, proper staff identity, correct & up- to – date information about the state civil service.
Represented by the Ag. Permanent Secretary Mrs Bunmi Omotola, the SSA said gone are the days when civil servants on the pay role of government are parading multiple ID cards at every interface with the public.
According to him, the improved card will contain relevant information about the owner that will be useful at all times & for all purposes.
While soliciting the cooperation of the state workforce, the SSA concluded that staff of the Agency will start visiting all MDAs for data capturing at the appointed date already comminute to them.
